I would be lying if I said that I have always loved French Toast especially as someone who really dislikes eggs and the taste of eggs. In fact, I only started eating French Toast in 2020 but since I tried it, I have been in love with it. So, I thought for todays post for whimsical Wednesday I can combine two of my favorite things. Meditation and French toast.
(Note I highlighted the recipe so that if you only want the recipe, you can just scheme through and find just the steps for the recipe easily without the meditation part.)
French Toast Meditation
A mini guide meditation with a piece or two of French toast.
First let’s gather everything we need.

- Butter 1 tsp
- Milk 125 ml
- Egg 1
- Vanilla essences 1 tsp
- Cinnamon 0.5 tsp
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- 2 Slices of bread of your choice.
Note: a clean comfortable place is needed for the best results.
Place your butter in a pre-heated pan. As your butter starts to melt take a deep breath in and smell the buttery scent. Set an intention for your French toast. What will you be receiving while eating this delicious meal.
While your butter continues to melt on low heat. Pour your premeasured milk into a mixing bowl. Add your egg to the milk and mix with a hand whisk. With the first rotation of the whisk tale a breath in and when the second rotation comes breath out. Until your milk and egg is completely mixed together.
Once mixed add your vanilla essence to your mix and think of something that you are grateful for.
As you sprinkle your cinnamon into the mix Invision the cinnamon as small flecks of gratitude that you are adding to your French toast.
Add your baking powder and let it sit for a second. As your baking powder is bubbling. Let your gratitude bubble in the mixing bowl as the baking powder.
Dip your bread slices in the mixture make sure that it is coated on both sides. As you take the bread out of the mixture and you look at the mixture dripping of the bread Invision all your stress flowing out of your body like the mixture flowing out of your slice of bread.
Gentle place your bread slices in the pan with the melted butter. As your French toast is French toasting. Take your last few deep breaths. Breath in for four slow counts then hold your breath for two counts. And breath out for four breaths continue this until your toast is done. ( Remember to take in the divine aroma of your lovely French toast.)
Take your beautiful creation out of the pan. Place them in a plate. Sprinkle it with the topping of your choice if you have a topic preference.
Always remember. If your toast burns or your mind drifts off, you can always just take a deep breath and continue breathing and make a new batch of French toast.
