The Endless Doom of Procrastination

Chronically Growing _ The Endless Doom Of Procrastination

Have you ever had something you have to do but everything just seems to get in the way of what you need to do. Like writing a post for example. (Procrastination definitely didn’t affect this post…)

So, you decide that you will start next week’s work over the weekend to get a head start. The weekend comes around and you have your diary, your notebook and your pencil case. You got everything you needed and a head full of Ideas for posts ready. So now you sit down ready to start and you look at the time and now you have to go jog because it is getting late and then once you blink the weekend is over.

You open your eyes and its two nights before due date

So you decide that the next morning you are going to lock in and get it done. 3 hours of dedication and boom. You wake up the next morning look at your schedule and see blog post prep. Then you feel “ooh I’m hungry.” after a quick brekkie you wash the dishes. You go to put your books and pens down. You sit down set up a space to work as you pick up your pen you think you can’t work in pyjamas. So you put your pen down and go get changed. Now you can sit and you will be able to work better. And then you realize that a cup of coffee will improve your work even more.

And then you look at the time, and it is 1 o’clock and how you need to start getting ready to go jog and you are really trying to stay physically active. So, you go because you can work when you are done in 30 minutes. You get home you bath, eat and its time for your stretching and conditioning class.

You get home and its 9 o’clock and now you need to kick into overdrive because now you need to get all your work done and yes, it’s only 3 hours but now I need to push and try get proper sleep for your next day. But you get it done anyway.

Moral of the story, don’t let procrastination get in the way, just stick to your schedule when you plan things at a certain time. Even if it’s not your usual space you work at. But just do it and don’t push it to a later state because you can still get it done.
